Up early, out of the door and on a jet plane to Copenhagen! The views coming into land were fab. The land is so flat here and the waters are so clear you can see the sea bead and sands.
I touched down around lunchtime and got my travel card, hopped on the train and checked into my hotel. Easy! Then it was time to get my bearings.
I studied the map quickly, worked out everything was in walking distance and so I popped out and went for a wander. I walked through the high streets, into the park where the statue of Mr Hans Christian Anderson stands and then along to the seafront to say hi to the Little Mermaid.
The views were lovely and the seafront reminded me of home. Not London. Home home, Gosport.
On my way back to the hotel I popped back into my new favourite shop ‘& Other Stories’ – it’s like urban outfitters meets Reiss meets Massimo Dutti meets Banana Republic. This of course makes Steph very happy!
After a quick rest I popped out to the Tapas restaurant across the street for dinner before heading back to the Hotel for the #BattenVEDA google hangout! Which despite being an awful Internet connection where I kept disappearing or freezing and the fact we got trolled by a guy playing weird songs about Jimmy Saville, was a lot of fun.
A good first day with plans set for some great adventures in the days ahead! I think I quite like Denmark so far 😊
