Project 35 | Day 110

I was very proud to have not one but two amazing cheerleaders at the Ealing Eagles 10km yesterday in Gunnersbury Park. My dad and my sister.

Although the day started out nice and cool you could tell it was going to warm up pretty quickly and sure enough it was 19 degrees before I’d set off. Heat, running and me are not a good combo. My head was on fire within 3km and although I was pacing sub 6m kilometres for the first 5 I had to walk a few times after 6km just to cool down.

That said and done, my Nike app clocked my 10km distance as 1:01 a new PB. My chip time and final Nike finish time showed I’d ran 10.4km in a time of 1:04. I knew I wasn’t going to get a race PB part way through but I gave it a full on sprint finish with my fastest pace at 4:08 per km!

Yes, that was a lot of race talk but that’s what I do and love 😊

Have great Mondays people!
