Project 35 | Day 154

Did anybody see Tuesday???

Another crazy day of meetings, calls, brainstorms and business followed by an evening out with friends and a nighttime stroll through the heart of the city.

I find that the walk through from Covent Garden to Piccadilly Circus after dark on a week night is one of the most calming places in London. You think I’m nuts right? The vibe is less about the hustle and bustle and more about the artists and the lights.

Don’t get me wrong, there are still plenty of people around but they are usually a mix of tourists admiring the city and taking in the songs played by the musicians and amazing moves performed by the dancers. The buzz of traffic is much quieter and the bright lights make the city glow like its Christmas – but in a good way 😉. In a way where I can slow down my pace and ‘breathe in’ the good bits of this city mentally, if that’s a thing!?!

One of my favourite street musicians Sammie Jay was playing again in Covent Garden and saw my Instagram post shortly after too. I love that I can help to showcase her work now that o know who she is and yes I have given her a few £ when she’s been out and about but I also now have her album – which is great by the way 😊.

This is why I love London at night time.
