Project 35 | Day 180

Monday marked the official start to my Ealing Half training plan and the registration opening for #BattenVEDA! Be prepared to see lots more running selfies and video content over the coming weeks. You have been warned ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Training started well with a good steady pace and I was feeling much better than my last run for sure. What I wasn’t expecting was a face off with a commuter at Euston who couldn’t decide which side to step as I approached causing me to do a sidewalk shuffle that ended with me rolling on my left ankle ๐Ÿ˜ข.

To give him his due he stopped to ask if I was okay but swiftly ran off in his suit, briefcase firmly clutched with Bart Simpson look on his face ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Nobody saw me do it! You can’t prove anything! ๐Ÿ˜ณ – Bart

I stood for about 5 minutes to let the impact relent a little and then decided to walk it off. That worked and I picked up the remainder of my 5km from Regent’s Park. Better still there was a light misty rain which kept me nice and cool in the city humidity ๐Ÿ˜Š.

My ankle is a little sore this morning but nothing to grumble about at all.

As for BattenVEDA, sign up is now open and I’ve got 31 new prompts for people to follow who take part. It’s going to be great. Exhausting but great! Time to get my vlog on again!
