Emails checked. Christmas photo taken. New teamies met. I’m officially back to work. But what better day to do so than Christmas party day.
I’m not a fan of the Santa inspired event we all celebrate today but I do love an opportunity to party with my team.
After a Secret Santa present giving – I got a bubble gun and chocolates, of course – we headed down to Flight Club for popcorn mussels, slushy cocktails and a few games of Demolition, Killer and Shanghai. 🎯
I’m not gonna lie, my dart throwing skills are hit and miss but it was great night. If I were to ask for one gift it would be to see my whole team happy. I think it’s safe to say I got the gift I wanted 😉.
On the corner of Finsbury Square, there’s a brand new venue that’s about to launch in October and it’s so exciting to be a part of making that happen. It’s called Flight Club.
Pauline and I popped down today to see how the build was coming along and the tiles are going in, the pizza pass is there, the oven hood (featured in the pic) is in place ready for its oven! The next few weeks are going to see this space completely transform. I’ll keep you updated on that for sure.
In other news… I got home about 10pm after a jam packed day. It’s seems September is going to be over in the blink of an eye. My running training plan is on hold again which is a shame. Mostly due to time but also my ankle (lefty this time) has swollen from what I can only imagine to be from walking a lot and wearing heels a few times last week. Oh well. The universe is obviously trying to tell me something.
